Our Story

Food On Mission: Catering for a cause

Inspired by her love for people and the desire to share the even greater love of Jesus Christ with them, Chef Amanda Thacker founded Food on Mission with a dedication to share that love through hospitality and food.

Every event catered gives back by providing meals to people experiencing homelessness in Austin, Texas. Through every meal handed out, our goal is to make others feel seen and loved by offering a genuine smile, hug, prayer, and conversation. Food is a beautiful catalyst for connection.

Our different menu tiers allow you to choose a service that best fits your needs and see just how your next event can directly impact those living on the streets of Austin. Consider Food on Mission for your next event and let us Cater For A Cause.

Don't have an event coming up? Consider making a donation. A standard donation of $25 helps put quality meals in front of people in need.

Thank you and God Bless!

And he answered them, “Whoever has two tunics is to share with him who has none, and whoever has food is to do likewise.” Luke 3:11 ESV
